The Interocast

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2, 2026 · Effective: May 28, 2026

InteroCast is a podcast app that runs on your device. We don't operate a server, we don't have user accounts, and we don't collect analytics. This page explains what data the app handles, where it goes, and what control you have over it.

1. Who we are

InteroCast (“the app,” “we”) is published by Seud.IO (“Seud.IO,” pseudo studio, “us”). For privacy questions, email privacy@seud.io.

2. Summary

3. What data the app handles

All of the following is stored locally on your device using iOS’s standard app storage (AsyncStorage / file system) and is not transmitted to Seud.IO:

If you are signed into iCloud, the app also syncs a subset of this data to your own private iCloud Drive container so it stays consistent across your Apple devices: your subscribed podcasts (library.json), listening history (history.json), saved highlights (highlights.json), and generated transcripts and AI conversations (Markdown files). These files live in your iCloud account under Apple’s terms; Seud.IO has no access to them. Your API keys and playback preferences are not synced and remain on the device. You can disable this anytime by turning off iCloud Drive for InteroCast in iOS Settings.

4. Third-party services the app contacts

InteroCast contacts third-party services directly from your device to deliver core functionality. We do not proxy these requests. When you use a feature, the relevant data goes straight from your device to the listed provider, governed by their privacy policy.

Provider When contacted What is sent
Apple iTunes Search API When you search for podcasts Your search query, your IP address
Podcast hosts (RSS feeds + audio CDNs) When you subscribe, refresh, stream, or download Standard HTTP requests including your IP address and user-agent
OpenAI When you generate a transcript (Whisper) or use voice or text AI features backed by OpenAI Episode audio (for transcription) or chat messages, system prompt, transcript context, and your OpenAI API key
Anthropic When you use text AI features backed by Claude Chat messages, system prompt, transcript context, and your Anthropic API key
Apple Push Notification service If you allow notifications for new episodes A device push token issued by Apple
Apple iCloud If you are signed into iCloud, to sync your library, history, highlights, and transcripts across your devices The synced files, stored in your own private iCloud container (not accessible to Seud.IO)
Apple App Store (StoreKit) If you leave an optional tip The purchase is processed by Apple; Seud.IO does not receive your name, card, or other payment details

AI providers may retain prompts and responses for abuse monitoring per their own policies. See Apple, OpenAI, and Anthropic.

5. AI features

AI features are off by default and require you to add your own API key in Settings. When enabled, the app sends the relevant episode transcript, your messages, and your current playback position to the provider you chose (OpenAI or Anthropic) so it can answer questions about the episode. We do not log, store, or have access to those requests — they go directly from your device to the provider over HTTPS.

You can report an AI response that seems inaccurate, harmful, or offensive by tapping “Report” on the message. Reports are stored locally on your device. We do not collect them automatically.

6. Data we do not collect

7. Permissions the app requests

The app does not access your camera, photos, contacts, location, or health data.

8. Children

InteroCast is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Because we don’t collect data from anyone, this is true regardless of age.

9. Your choices

10. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Because Seud.IO does not collect or store any personal data on its servers, we have no data to export, correct, or delete on your behalf. Your data lives on your device and is removed when you uninstall the app. For data held by third-party providers you contact through the app (OpenAI, Anthropic, Apple, or podcast hosts), please refer to their privacy policies and contact them directly.

11. Security

All third-party API calls use HTTPS. API keys you enter are stored on the device using standard iOS app storage. We recommend protecting your device with a passcode or biometric lock and keeping iOS up to date.

12. International transfers

The third-party services the app talks to may process data in the United States or other countries. Their own privacy policies describe how they handle international transfers. Because Seud.IO does not collect data, we do not transfer any data internationally.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be surfaced in the app.
